How to Write Reviews That Help Everyone

A good review helps everyone—other patrons make informed choices, and venues understand what they're doing well or where they can improve. Here's how to write reviews that genuinely help.

Be Specific

Instead of saying "it was good," describe what made it good. Was it the atmosphere? The service? The cleanliness? Specific details help others know what to expect.

Similarly, if something wasn't up to standard, explain what the issue was. "The waiting area was uncomfortable" is more helpful than "didn't like it."

Keep It Fair

Remember that one bad experience doesn't mean a venue is always bad. Staff can have off days. Consider whether your experience was likely typical or an exception.

If something went wrong, did the venue try to make it right? That matters too.

Respect Privacy

Never share personal details about staff or other patrons. Keep your review focused on the venue and service, not individuals.

Share the Positives Too

Great experiences deserve recognition. If a venue exceeded your expectations, say so. Your positive review helps good businesses thrive and helps others find quality experiences.

The Perfect Review

A great review is specific, fair, respects privacy, and helps the community. Take a few minutes to write something thoughtful—it makes a real difference.
